my boxes are always a little off!
mine too. boxes are tricky tricky things. but for both editions of Vargtimmen I mostly eyeballed the measurements of the trays instead of using a ruler. I tried this with another box for printmaking, but it didn’t work out so well. I guess you have to be in a sort of fugue when making boxes.

Love it.
thank you :)
you have a Lubitel? is yours horribly finicky? I borrowed one just to test out a TLR [I had always had a nerdy dream of owning one] and…I had a very bad experience with it, and now I hate them [Lubitels, not TLRs], which I feel is unfair.
and yeah! get a new scanner!
[I did end up buying a Mamiya C220, which is like a child to me. a slightly ignored child, though.]
hm, I was looking into buying a tintype kit, which may have been what you were thinking of. however, I didn’t get around to it because 1) the price went up and I’m cheap [$33 plus shipping is a bit much for 5 plates…especially since a few will probably messed up] and 2) I won’t have access to my school’s darkroom until the Fall semester starts, because they are doing photo one classes both summer sessions. -sigh-
but…yeah, that kit is a 4x5 kit, so I don’t really think it would help you. are you having weird technical problems scanning medium format, or is your scanner not capable?
